Royce Malcolm Knox passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 after a short illness.  He was born on January 17, 1942 in Houston Texas to Malcolm “Mac” Knox and Mavis Knox.  Royce graduated from Crockett High School in Crockett Texas in 1960.  He then attended Texas A&M University where he graduated in 1964, and completed his Masters Degree in 1965.  While there, Royce developed a passion for all things A&M, particularly their athletics.  His senior year he was elected as a Yell Leader and remained a loyal Texas A&M Aggie fan throughout his life, attending football games each year.

Royce is survived by his wife, Carol, whom he was married to for 38 years.  He is also survived by his son Kevin Knox (Leigh), daughter Caroline Owens (Phillip) and son Todd Knox (Paula), along with 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.  Royce is also survived by step-daughters Laura Long (James) and Leslie Gerlach, along with 2 step-granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Indianland Church of Christ (635 Jim Wilson Road, Indian Land, SC 29707). The service will begin at 3:00pm.  The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 in Crockett Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Samaritan's Purse.
