Beverly Jean Gisel Entz slipped into the presence of the Lord Jesus peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021. The family is forever grateful for the wonderful care given by Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region.
Beverly was born June 22, 1933 in Hutchinson, KS. She was married to Jim Entz (deceased 1987) and had 3 children – Ross (deceased 1975), Sally (Poelman) and Kerri (Sasnett). Beverly and Jim were members of Wycliffe Bible Translators for 25 years, serving in Papua New Guinea and the JAARS Center in Waxhaw, NC. After Jim’s sudden death, Glenda Dabbs came to live with Beverly for the next 34 years. Glenda and Beverly, as best friends, shared a common love for the Lord Jesus, missions and life.
Beverly was a member of First Baptist Indian Trail and enjoyed great worship and fellowship with the church body.
Beverly is survived by Sally and husband, Matt Poelman, Kerri and husband, Todd Sasnett and best friend, Glenda Dabbs. Grandchildren- Andy Poelman (Amber), Eric Poelman (deceased 2005), Greg Poelman (YeanChing), Kristi (Sasnett/Stewart) (Michael), and Brenton (Sasnett.) Great grandchildren – Rose, Charlotte, Ellie (Andy), Archer, Sawyer, Eliana (Greg), Blake, Kayla (Kristi).
Memorial Service arrangements are as follows: First Baptist Indian Trail, 732 Indian Trail Fairview Rd, Indian Trail, NC, Saturday, October 23, 2021, 11:00 am in the main sanctuary. Family will receive friends at 10:00 am. There will be no graveside service. Live stream: FBCIT website.
