Priscila Aquila Segura

Priscila A. Segura, de 84 años, falleció en paz el viernes 6 de febrero de 2026 en su hogar en Indian Trail, Carolina del Norte, después de una valiente lucha contra el cáncer. Nació el 21 de julio de 1941 en La Oroya, Perú, hija de Aparicio Segura y María Paulina Calderón.

En agosto de 1962, Priscila contrajo matrimonio con Leopoldo Ayala en La Oroya, Perú. Juntos formaron su hogar y criaron a ocho hijos. Priscila dedicó su vida al servicio de los demás y deja un profundo legado de amor, fe y liderazgo en su familia, su iglesia y su comunidad. Puso sus talentos creativos y los dones que Dios le concedió al servicio de quienes la rodeaban, cuidando, alimentando y sosteniendo a su familia y comunidad. Será recordada por su fortaleza, su entrega desinteresada a su familia y su fe firme e inquebrantable en Dios.

Le sobreviven sus hermanos, Delia Segura, Sara Segura y Daniel Segura, de Perú; siete hijos: Nancy Moreno, de Nueva York; Soledad Townsend Ayala, Omar Ayala, Delma Ayala y Judith Ayala Doll, de Carolina del Norte; y Ronald Ayala y Enzo Ayala, de Perú; además de 20 nietos y cinco bisnietos.

Le precedieron en la partida sus padres; su amado esposo, Leopoldo Ayala; sus tres hermanos mayores; su hijo primogénito, Rubén Ayala; su nuera, Antonia Santos; y su yerno, Richard Bernal.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio memorial a las 10:30 a.m. el sábado 7 de marzo de 2026 en la Iglesia Bautista El Buen Pastor, ubicada en 111 E. Old Highway 74, Monroe, Carolina del Norte 28112. La familia expresa su más sincero agradecimiento a todos los familiares y miembros de la iglesia que brindaron consuelo, cuidado y apoyo durante los últimos días de Priscila.

Priscila A. Segura, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, at her home in Indian Trail, North Carolina, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 21, 1941, in La Oroya, Peru, to Aparicio Segura and María Paulina Calderón.

In August 1962, Priscila married Leopoldo Ayala in La Oroya, Peru. Together, they raised eight children. Priscila dedicated her life to the service of others and leaves behind a profound legacy of love, faith, and leadership within her family, church, and community. She used her creative talents and God-given gifts to care for, nourish, and sustain those around her. She will be remembered for her resilience, selfless devotion to her family, and unwavering faith in God.

She is survived by her siblings, Delia Segura, Sara Segura, and Daniel Segura of Peru; seven children: Nancy Moreno of New York; Soledad Townsend Ayala, Omar Ayala, Delma Ayala, and Judith Ayala Doll of North Carolina; and Ronald Ayala and Enzo Ayala of Peru; as well as 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Leopoldo Ayala; her three older siblings; her firstborn son, Ruben Ayala; her daughter-in-law, Antonia Santos; and her son-in-law, Richard Bernal.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Iglesia Bautista El Buen Pastor, located at 111 E. Old Highway 74, Monroe, North Carolina 28112. The family extends heartfelt thanks to all relatives and church members who provided comfort, care, and support during Priscila’s final days.
